Swimming Lessons

Last  term  we  went  to  swimming  lessons  at  CLM   pools.  We  had  to  gather our  togs, towels, goggles, masks and  jackets when we walked to the bus.

We  sang  on the  bus  over  and  over  and it  was  super fun and exciting.

At the pools I was with Roland, Cosma, Ion, Wycliffe, Tuakalau and Patrick  and all  of  us   learned how to float on our backs and then I liked kicking with the blue boards.  The  instructor  told  us  to  jump  off  from  the  edge and every   time  I  said “Manu”  and I jumped. I felt sad because I didn’t bring my togs on the last day.

Animation Blog – sonic 2 – the movie

we  have been making   animations  on  our chromebooks  in  Googele  Slides.

I really enjoyed  this  because  I could  make all of  the stuff  move.

ki o rahi

Ki  o rahi  is a new game that we are going to learn this term. Last week coach Chelsea came to our classroom and she showed us a video about Ki o rahi. Then we went outside to play some tag games because it was raining. We couldn’t play on the field. We were  set into

two teams and one was called Kioma and the other team was Taniwha. I was in the Taniwha team. We did lots of running and I was tired at the end.

I can’t wait for next Thursday when coach Chelsea comes again to teach us about this new game.

making my tree hut

It was so much fun last term when we were making our tree huts.

At home I had to collect lots of supplies to bring to school. The list of the  stuff  that  I  brought was four toilet rolls, a big roll of brown paper, string, an old drink bottle and a box.

On the first day I cut out my doors and some windows with scissors from my very big box. I put lots of heavy bricks that Mrs Agnew brought inside on the floor of the hut. I wanted it to be heavy and not fall over in the wind. I also used ice block sticks to make a cross inside my hut. Kamela brought some jewels which were so beautiful. I stuck them on the floor of my hut. I used four toilet rolls to put my hut off the ground.

For the roof I used some cardboard and sellotape to stick it down and in the windows I stuck some glad wrap over the holes.

My best part was when I painted my hut. The walls were yellow and the inside was brown. The poles were different colours like red, blue, green and turquoise. It looked very good at the end.

I loved  it  so  much .

And it  was  the best  thing ever of the first term.
